The Worshipful Master requests your attendance at our Stated Communication August 15th, 2016
From the East
I attended the 16th District Grand Masters official visit Saturday with the officers of the Lodge. We had a great time, and the best fellowship with the other Brothers of the 16th Masonic District. Wednesday August 3rd is the Masters and Wardens meeting for the 16th Masonic District at Golden Corral at 6:00pm. All brothers are welcome to attend with their Ladies. Thursday is practice 6:00pm for the Master Mason Degree. We need Brothers for the second section. Please let me know if you are able to do a part. Or contact Brother Walt Layton, he will be doing the degree. We will be firing up the smoker in September. Get ready for ribs, they will be on the menu soon. Enjoy the summer.

Hello My Brothers; I am sure you know, our July meeting ran long, due partly because we are only having one meeting a month. The Worshipful Master had a full agenda with much input from the Brothers. The Lodge continues to receive petitions each month keeping the Secretary busy, and the brothers who have been chosen to investigate each one to protect the Craft. We are doing a fishing charter raffle to generate funds for the building and need ALL of the Brothers to help get the tickets sold. Flyers and tickets are available from Brother Robert Wheeler, the Junior Warden, Secretary, and Worshipful Master. The drawing will take place on September 10th at our famous Lodge breakfast. We will need all hands on deck for that event. Please mark it on your calendar. The District Deputy Grand Master R:.W:. Charles Calabritto hosted the Most Worshipful Grand Master Stanley L. Hudson’s official visit to the 16th District at the Daytona Museum of Arts and Science. His menu was very different; not quite what we were expecting but was good. The Grand Master’s message was right to the point. He stated that we need to treat our Brothers well and provide them with a reason to keep them coming to our meetings. Next month (August) we are having our regular stated meeting on August 15th. We are having a meeting on August 17th with the dinner at 6:30 pm and the meeting starting at 7:30 pm on Circumscribe. This meeting will be with DDGM Charles Calabritto to inform the Brothers about “Circumscribe” (the new way we will be handling our dues cards). This is open to all the Lodges in the 16th District and their members. Our Senior Warden, Walter Layton, is again stepping up to the plate. He is putting on a Master Mason Degree on Saturday, September 17th at 9 am at our Lodge, for our five Fellow Crafts to keep them moving forward in Masonry. Breakfast will be provided at 8 am before the Degree. As before, he needs all of us to make this happen. Practice is on Thursday nights at 6 pm. Please come out and support him. The Lodge’s menu for our regular stated meeting on August 15th will be Chef’s Choice??? The menu for the special meeting on August 17th will be roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, roll and butter. Dessert will be homemade apple crisp. Please attend.
